Applications are open from 4 August 2016 to 31 October 2016. No late applications will be accepted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NSFAS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On 1 August 2016, NSFAS will open central applications for students who require financial assistance. There are two cycles for application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>1st<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Cycle:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a01 August to 30 November: Students entering university for the first time in 2026, including 2016 matriculants;<\/li>\n<li><strong>2nd\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Cycle: \u00a0<\/strong>1 September to 30 November: All university students who were not funded by NSFAS in 2016.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For applications and comprehensive information please visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsfas.org.za\/\">www.nsfas.org.za<\/a>. These loans are available for all fields of study at a low interest rate.<\/li>\n<li>Loans are available to South African citizens who are engaged in full-time undergraduate study to obtain a first tertiary educational qualification, who meet the\u00a0criteria as determined by\u00a0NSFAS.<\/li>\n<li>Loans are not guaranteed and\u00a0are awarded subject to the availability of funds.<\/li>\n<li>The loan does not accrue interest during your period of study.
