The head office and seat of the institutional management are located in Potchefstroom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3 ft1\">The NWU is a value-driven institution that promotes tolerance and respect for all perspectives and belief systems in order to facilitate an environment conducive to teaching-learning, research and community service. The value system and practices of<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4 ft2\">the NWU will be driven by the values enshrined in the Constitution, especially human dignity, equality and freedom. This includes the promotion of unity in diversity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5 ft0\">APPLICATION FEE<\/p>\n<p class=\"p6 ft2\">The prescribed application fee as determined annually by the Council is <span class=\"ft3\">not refundable<\/span>. The application form will only be accepted for processing if accompanied by this application fee (only cheques or postal orders in favour of the North-West University).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p7 ft0\">SELECTION<\/p>\n<p class=\"p8 ft1\"><span class=\"ft2\">1.<\/span><span class=\"ft4\">Provisional selection for all undergraduate applications can be done on the basis of the grade 11 final examination marks (not symbols) if the applicant has not yet matriculated, or on the basis of the matriculation symbols as indicated on the certificate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p9 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">2.<\/span><span class=\"ft5\">The University reserves the right to require of candidates who have not obtained a specific average pass mark, to write an additional selection test on the basis of which final consideration will be given to the application of such a candidate. In line with this policy, each campus (i.e. Vaal Triangle, Mafikeng and Potchefstroom) developed a campus language plan, which take into account the language requirements of students and the language realities at ground level. GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS<\/p>\n<p class=\"p28 ft3\">IMPORTANT<\/p>\n<p class=\"p29 ft2\">Read the following instructions and information carefully before completing the form. Incomplete information can lead to unnecessary delays in the processing of your application.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p30 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">1.<\/span><span class=\"ft5\">This application form should be completed by all who have not been registered at this University before or who have interrupted their studies for a year or longer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">2.<\/span><span class=\"ft5\">The following documents should accompany this application <\/span><span class=\"ft3\">(only certified copies are accepted):<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p31 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">2.1.<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Undergraduate applicants:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p32 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"ft11\">Matriculation certificate (if already matriculated) (certified copies are accepted);<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p33 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"ft11\">Academic record and certificate of conduct with regard to study at another tertiary institution (certified copies are accepted);<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p32 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"ft11\">Copies of certificates obtained at another tertiary institution (certified copies are accepted);<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p32 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"ft11\">Identity document (certified copies are accepted);<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p34 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"ft11\">Vaccination certificate if the applicant suffers from the notifiable diseases tuberculosis (TB) or bacterial meningitis (please refer to A3 on page 3 of this application form).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p32 ft3\">All copies should be certified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p35 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">2.2.<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Postgraduate applicants:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p32 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"ft11\">Official proof of compliance with the prerequisites for the intended study;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p33 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"ft11\">Academic record and certificate of conduct with regard to study at another tertiary institution (certified copies are accepted);<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p36 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Proof of module outcomes passed at another tertiary institution<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p32 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"ft12\">Copies of certificates obtained (certified copies are accepted);<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p37 ft2\"><span class=\"ft2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"ft12\">Identity document (certified copies are accepted).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p38 ft3\">All copies should be certified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p39 ft3\">NB: If any of the above documents have been issued in the maiden name of married applicant, a certified copy of the marriage certificate should accompany this application.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p40 ft2\">3.
