Students who have achieved excellent results for Mathematics, have good problem solving skills and can maintain discipline and focus should apply for funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sanlam bursaries will be awarded based on Grade 11 and Matric final results.<br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MORE ABOUT THE SANLAM BURSARY PROGRAMME \u2013 COVERAGE VALUE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The bursary will provide cover the following study expenses: tuition fees, actuarial board exam fees, accommodation fees, book allowance and pocket money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from financial aid, students will also receive the following benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Vacation work<\/li><li>Opportunities to network with Sanlam staff members<\/li><li>Academic support and mentoring from actuarial professionals at Sanlam<\/li><li>Rotational work opportunities across various disciplines<\/li><li>A guaranteed employment position once graduated<\/li><li>Continued support<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SANLAM BURSARY<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You must be a South African citizen<\/li><li>You must be currently in Matric<\/li><li>You must be enrolled and accepted to study towards an Actuarial Science qualification, for the 2026 academic year<\/li><li>You must have achieved a&nbsp;<em>minimum<\/em>&nbsp;result of 90% for Mathematics in Matric<\/li><li>You must have achieved an overall \u201cA\u201d average<\/li><li>You must have strong mathematical skills<\/li><li>Preference will be given to students from designated groups (Black students: African\/ Indian\/ Coloured)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must also possess the following personal attributes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Good communication skills<\/li><li>Have strong analytical abilities<\/li><li>Adaptable to various situations<\/li><li>Able to function independently<\/li><li>Good problem solving skills<\/li><li>Good attention to detail<\/li><li>Have order and accuracy<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SANLAM BURSARY<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications must be submitted online at:&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/careers.sanlamcloud.co.za\/job\/Sanlam-Actuarial-Bursaries-WC\/663665401\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sanlam Bursary Application 2026<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Please note: ONLY online applications will be accepted \u2013 do NOT email or fax your application.<\/em><br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are required to submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation with the online application (the submission of these documents is compulsory \u2013 if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>ID document (certified copy)<\/li><li>Grade 11 final results (certified copy)<\/li><li>Matric mid-year results (certified copy)<\/li><li>NBT results<\/li><li>Full comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (with focus on academics, extra-mural activities and leadership skills)<\/li><li>Motivational letter (explaining the following in your own words: What does an Actuary do.
