The bursaries are awarded to qualifying applicants who are studying or intending to study towards any qualification in the film and television industry at any accredited South African tertiary institution.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bursary is awarded as a non-repayable grant based on merit and\/or financial need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>An applicant must:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>be a South African citizen;<\/li><li>have completed and passed matric<\/li><li>have a good academic record;<\/li><li>demonstrate a need for financial assistance;<\/li><li>registered or provisionally registered to study for a full-time undergraduate, postgraduate diploma or degree in film\/TV disciplines at an accredited South African tertiary institution<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Required Documents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A completed online application form<\/li><li>Letter of acceptance from the institution or a letter of&nbsp;acknowledgement&nbsp;of their application;<\/li><li>One page letter of motivation<\/li><li>Certified ID Copy<\/li><li>Certified copy of&nbsp;matric&nbsp;certificate or latest academic results<\/li><li>Commitment letter for a bursary or loan from other sponsors\/bank where applicable.<\/li><li>Certified copies of parents\u2019 proof of income or other financial support if any i.e. 2 months bank statement, payslip, proof of social grant or affidavit (Only certified copies will be accepted)<\/li><li>Annual academic fees breakdown from the institution<\/li><li><strong>NB! All certified copies of documents requested must be certified within 3 months of the date of submission.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Selection Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Financial need based on the combined gross income of less than R600&nbsp;000 for both parents\/ guardian\/s (if the applicant is a minor).<\/li><li>Academic performance will be assessed according to the following:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>latest academic qualification;<\/li><li>students enrolled to further their studies, will only be considered if they have achieved an average of 50% or higher minimum pass rate in their previous year of study;<\/li><li>&nbsp;Matric learners whose final results are not available,&nbsp;assessment&nbsp;will be based on their Grade 11 final results or matric June results.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>detailed motivation stating why the applicant should be considered for the bursary;<\/li><li>Preference will be given to previously&nbsp;disadvantage&nbsp;individuals<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exclusions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any performance arts and acting courses&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NB!
