All interested applicants should apply following the steps below:<\/p><div class=\"forms-atf\" style=\"margin-top: 15px;margin-bottom: 20px;\" id=\"forms-2046050442\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-9198760278752355\"\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\n<!-- Responsive ads atf -->\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9198760278752355\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"8381596201\"\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Closing Date:<\/strong> 15th January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bursary Requirements:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You must be a South African citizen<\/li><li>You must have been a resident within South Africa for a minimum of 3 years before applying<\/li><li>You must have completed Matric<\/li><li>You must be studying part time towards a (BSc Hon) Food Science and (BTech) Technology qualification<\/li><li>You must be studying at a recognised tertiary institute in South Africa<\/li><li>You must have been an SAAFoST paid up full members for a minimum of 12 months before applying for this bursary<\/li><li>Preference will be given to undergraduate students with strong academic results or potential<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Burasary Coverage:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>SAAFoST will be awarding 3 types of bursaries for the 2026 academic year:<br><strong>1) SAAFoST Matriculant Bursary:<\/strong>\u00a0covers students currently in Matric, who intend on studying full time towards a first undergraduate Degree or Diploma within the Food Science and Technology field. The bursary will provide cover for tuition fees up to a maximum of R35 000 per year. Payments will be made in 2 instalments, to the tertiary institution where the recipient is undertaking studies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2) SAAFoST Undergraduate Bursary:<\/strong>\u00a0covers students pursuing full time studies towards a first undergraduate Degree or Diploma within the Food Science and Technology field. The bursary will provide cover for tuition fees up to a maximum of R35 000 per year. Payments will be made in 2 instalments, to the tertiary institution where the recipient is undertaking studies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3) SAAFoST Part-Time Bursary for SAAFoST Members:<\/strong>&nbsp;covers SAAFoST paid up full members, studying part time studies towards a BSc Hons or BTech qualification, within the Food Science and Technology field. The bursary will provide cover for tuition fees up to a maximum of R35 000 (or prorata) over 2 years.
