{"id":57843,"date":"2024-11-17T18:17:10","date_gmt":"2024-11-17T18:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nursing24.co.za\/?page_id=1511"},"modified":"2024-11-17T18:17:10","modified_gmt":"2024-11-17T18:17:10","slug":"hlabisa-hospital-nursing-school-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/forms24.co.za\/data\/hlabisa-hospital-nursing-school-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Hlabisa Hospital Nursing School"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\n\nHlabisa Hospital Nursing School\n\n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health prides itself on the high quality nurse training programmes offered by the departmental training institutions.<\/p><div id=\"forms-3645508046\" class=\"forms-atf forms-entity-placement\" style=\"margin-top: 15px;margin-bottom: 20px;\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-9198760278752355\"\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\n<!-- Responsive ads atf -->\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9198760278752355\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"8381596201\"\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Twenty-four institutions offer the following accredited nurse training programmes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Basic nurse training programmes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>4 year comprehensive<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>2 year enrolled<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>1 year enrolled auxiliary nurse<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>2 year bridging to professional nurse (in-service staff only)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Post Registration Programmes (in-service staff only)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1 year midwifery<\/li><li>1 year psychiatric nursing<\/li><li>various post-registration programmes such as child nursing science, orthopaedic nursing, critical care nursing, operating theatre nursing science and midwifery and neonatal nursing science.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection of candidates for nurse training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The selection of candidates is district-based.&nbsp; Some districts have been grouped in line with the nature of the training programmes offered within the district(s).&nbsp; Applicants should submit their applications to the district selection committee in which they reside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Six district selection committees have been identified as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ethekwini, Ilembe, Ugu (Ethekwini, DC 29 and DC21) &#8211; Ethekwini District Selection Committee<\/li><li>uMgungundlovu, Sisonke (DC22 and DC43) &#8211; uMgungundlovu district selection committee<\/li><li>Uthukela, Umzinyathi, Amajuba (DC23, DC24 and DC25) &#8211; Dundee district selection committee<\/li><li>Uthungulu (DC28) &#8211; Uthungulu district selection committee<\/li><li>Zululand (DC26) &#8211; Zululand district selection committee<\/li><li>Umkhanyakude (DC27) &#8211; Umkhanyakude district selection committee<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guidelines to applicants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An advertisement for nurse training posts appear in the local newspaper&#8217;s &#8211; (Ilanga, Zululand Observer, Mercury and Witness) &#8211; local hospitals and clinics in January each year &#8211; requirements of the training programme will be stipulated in the advertisement.<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>Instructions in the advert to be complied with e.g. regarding the documentation to be submitted with the application letter and catchment area.<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>It is not necessary to fill in application forms (Z 83) at this stage.<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>An application letter and certified copies of certificates must reach the address provided in the advertisement on or before the closing date.<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>Do not send applications to an address other than the one in the advertisement, no hand delivered applications will be entertained.<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>No applications are to be directed to the training institutions\/hospitals or head office (Natalia), or the KwaZulu-Natal College of Nursing.<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>Ensure that the advertisement is read in its entirety especially with regard to responses to applicants.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>Due to the large number of applications received only successful applications will be responded to.<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>Please note, no waiting lists are kept.<br>&nbsp;<\/li><li>Any applicant who has been in previous training in the 4 year programme and has been excluded, will&nbsp;
