The curriculum is cutting-edge and is continuously enhanced to ensure that our students and staff keep up to date with the newest knowledge from around the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wits.ac.za\/accountancy\/\">Wits School of Accountancy<\/a>:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Has Level 1 accreditation status, the highest level of accreditation awarded by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.saica.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">South African Institute of Chartered Accountants<\/a>&nbsp;(SAICA).<\/li><li>Wits students achieved a 91% pass rate in part one of the SAICA qualifying examinations in 2015 and a 93% pass rate in the 2014 SAICA Assessment of Professional Competence examinations.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wbs.ac.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wits Business School<\/a>:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>WBS&#8217;s programmes are fully accredited by the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.che.ac.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">South African Council for Higher Education<\/a>.<\/li><li>The School\u2019s MBA degree enjoys prestigious international accreditation from the Association of MBAs.<\/li><li>The WBS is also a member of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aabschools.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Association of African Business Schools<\/a>, the South African Business Schools Association and the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pimnetwork.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Partnership in International Management<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Wits School of Public Health:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The School is internationally renowned for its academic and research activities, and was awarded a grant by the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases hosted by the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.who.int\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">World Health Organization<\/a>&nbsp;and supported by&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unicef.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UNICEF<\/a>, the UNDP and the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldbank.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">World Bank<\/a>&nbsp;to run an implementation science postgraduate training programme with the University of North Carolina that will identify bottlenecks in health systems and how to address them.<br>International funders preferentially send students from Africa to the School, which enjoys local and international partnerships with institutions like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lshtm.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine<\/a><\/li><li>Brown University<\/li><li>Colorado University<\/li><li>The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.swisstph.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Swiss Tropical Institute<\/a>&nbsp;which foster state of the art public health teaching and research programmes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wits\u2019&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wits.ac.za\/archplan\/\">Architecture<\/a>&nbsp;degrees:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our architecture degrees are accredited by the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacapsa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">South African Council of Architects<\/a>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.comarchitect.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Commonwealth Association of Architects<\/a>. Planning degrees are accredited by the South African Council for Planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Wits&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wits.ac.za\/stats\/\">Actuarial Science<\/a>&nbsp;Programme:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>at the Honours level provides exemption from 12 of the examinations required for qualification as a professional actuary of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.actuarialsociety.org.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Actuarial Society of South Africa<\/a>.
