Regardless of ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Application requirements for the Ascend Educational Fund Scholarships are:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Essay<\/li><li>Interview<\/li><li>Recommendation letter<\/li><li>Application form<\/li><li>Personal statement<\/li><li>Official Transcript.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Information:<\/strong>&nbsp;To be eligible you must be born outside the United States or have two parents born outside the United States. You must also be a graduating senior at a high school in the five boroughs of New York City. As well you must enroll full-time at an accredited public or private college or university in 2019-2020. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on qualities traditionally valued and demonstrated by the immigrant community: hard work, resourcefulness, perseverance in the face of adversity, academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to one\u2019s community. A committee will review applications and select a group of finalists for interviews.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>Award Amount:<\/strong>\u00a0The grant value ranges from $2,500 to $20,000.
