{"id":21697,"date":"2020-06-20T06:54:28","date_gmt":"2020-06-20T06:54:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gometa.co.za\/info\/?page_id=21697"},"modified":"2020-06-20T06:54:28","modified_gmt":"2020-06-20T06:54:28","slug":"how-do-i-check-a-doctors-license-in-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/forms24.co.za\/data\/how-do-i-check-a-doctors-license-in-south-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I check a doctor&#8217;s license in South Africa?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to check if someone is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.<\/h1>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Example, to use a psychological test, you must be registered with the HPCSA on one of the following registers:<\/p><div id=\"forms-2446064414\" class=\"forms-atf forms-entity-placement\" style=\"margin-top: 15px;margin-bottom: 20px;\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-9198760278752355\"\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\n<!-- Responsive ads atf -->\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9198760278752355\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"8381596201\"\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Psychologists<\/li><li>Psychometrists<\/li><li>Registered Counsellors<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If you have been assessed using psychological tests, you may want to check if the person who assessed you is registered.<\/h3>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It is a criminal offence for an unregistered person to use a psychological test.<\/h3>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INFORMATION YOU NEED<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can check a person&#8217;s registration status using any of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Their surname<\/li><li>Their given names (full names)<\/li><li>Their registration number<\/li><li>The register on which they are registered<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHERE TO CHECK IT<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Go to the Health Professions Council of South Africa&#8217;s website:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hpcsa.co.za\/\">www.hpcsa.co.za<\/a><\/li><li>Click on the area marked &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/isystems.hpcsa.co.za\/iregister\/\">access to the i-register<\/a>&#8220;<\/li><li>This will take you to a query dialog that interfaces directly with the database of registered professionals<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHAT TO ENTER<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tick the fields you want to enter, and a text entry box appears for you to type in the information.<\/li><li>If you are not sure how to spell the surname, select the &#8220;Wildcard&#8221; option next to the entry box.
