STUDENT EMAIL
1. Athens State University students are provided a university e-mail account. You can access your email account by going to outlook.com/my.athens.edu. You can view your email online or on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
2. You must use your email address as the username: example – smccull1@my.athens.edu
3. If you are a new student, your temporary password is Ath, followed by your 6-digit date of birth: Example – AthMMDDYY.
4. Changing your Athens State Online Pin WILL NOT change your email password. Email passwords must be changed within the email account.
5. If you do not know what your email address is, go to Athens State Online, click on Personal Information, and then View E-mail Address(es). If you do not see an @my.athens.edu address, please contact the Athens State University Help Desk at 256-216-6698 or by email.
FULL-TIME FACULTY AND STAFF EMAIL
1. Athens State University faculty and staff receive email accounts when they arrive at the university. Faculty and staff email can be viewed in Outlook, online through the Outlook Web App, or on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
2. To access your email, you must know your Network Username, which is your full Athens State email address: Example – sam.mccullors@athens.edu and password.
3. If you do not know your email address, go to Athens State Online, click on Personal Information, and then View E-mail Address(es). If you do not see an @athens.edu address or need assistance with your password, please contact the Athens State Help Desk at 256-216-6698 or by email.
ADJUNCT FACULTY EMAIL
