University of Limpopo Application Rules

APPLICATION RULES

The following Rules apply and should be adhered to during the online application process of the University of Limpopo.

Before continuing please read the admission requirements of the University of Limpopo. If on the basis of the results you submitted (either Grade 11; Grade 12; etc.) you are deemed to be meeting the minimum entry requirements for the programme you wish to study for, you will be issued with a provisional acceptance letter, which merely says you will be accepted into the programme, subject to your final National Senior Certificate results.

The closing dates are non-negotiable. It is your responsibility to ensure you apply before the applicable deadline! i.e. 30 September of every academic year

It is of utmost importance that you provide your correct cellular phone number, personal email and postal addresses to enable the University of Limpopo to communicate with you directly.

Please ensure that all fields marked with an asterix (*) are completed.

Persons with disabilities: The online application system provides the facility for an applicant to disclose his/her disability status. Applicants are encouraged to make use of this facility to disclose their disability status at this point in the application process. Such a disclosure will in no way prejudice an application. Disclosing your disability status enables the University of Limpopo to better anticipate the needs arising from these disabilities.

Receiving either an acknowledgement letter, short message service text (SMS), email confirmation of application or the provisional acceptance letter does not imply that you have been accepted by the University of Limpopo yet. Admission is a separate process that your application undergoes after being evaluated by the relevant Faculty.

Once your application has been received, you will receive the following communication from the University:

a.Acknowledgement of application by email and/ or sms (text message)

b.A provisional letter of acceptance: this letter states that based on an evaluation done on the results used to apply, you are accepted on a provisional basis pending the outcome of your grade 12 final results.

c.A final acceptance letter: this is the letter used by the University to indicate your final admission status, receiving this letter serves to confirm that you have met the minimum requirements based on your grade 12 final results and are able to register as a student at the University of Limpopo.

Remember to upload certified copies of the following documents, failure to do so will delay the evaluation of your application:

a.ID document

b.School results (i.e. Grade 11 or Grade 12 results)

c.Previous qualifications (if applicable)

d.Signed academic transcripts (if applicable)

e.Proof of payment

The University of Limpopo reserves the right to amend Rules and Regulations without prior notice.
