Train as a Nurse
The Robin Trust Nursing College is accredited by the SA Nursing Council and the Department of Education (FET) and currently offers the following legacy qualifications:
- Bridging Course for Enrolled Nurses leading to Registered Nurse (R.683) – 2 years of study.
The College is currently reviewing its course offerings to ensure that future courses and curricula are aligned with higher education levels (NQF 5-10).All qualifications include periods of practical accompaniment as per minimum SANC requirements at clinical facilities.For more information on the regulations applicable to nurses (including overviews of the specific courses of study listed above), please visit the SA Nursing Council Regulations Index.
Two Year Bridging Course – Applications now being accepted
Applications are now being accepted for the 2 year bridging course (for Enrolled Nurses leading to the registration as a Registered Nurse). The next bridging course will be starting in January 2025/2026 at our campus in Pinelands, Cape Town. Applications will close on Thursday, 7 December 2017

Registered Nurse
Robin Trust offers a 2-year bridging course leading to enrolment as a Registered Nurse. The course begins every year in January or July with 32 students per intake. Entry requirements are a screening interview, Enrolled Nurse (EN) qualification and SANC registration. APPLICATION FORM FOR COLLEGE
Trust qualified tutors and educators to train you with care
All of our lecturers are qualified tutors or nurse educators with decades of combined experience and knowledge. Learners have full use of our practical room, computer room, library, one-on-one tutoring and CC@H, a placement service for Home Based Care Workers.

What you can expect
The Nursing College offers you dedicated staff, equipping you to enter the Nursing Profession through an integrated programme of academic work, practical accompaniments and assignments, reinforced by a constructive feedback system.We offer in-house counselling, a structured programme of academic support and appropriate socialisation into the caring profession.
Selection Process
All potential EN students must attend a compulsory three day selection workshop. Please ask reception for the dates of the next workshop and sign up to take that first step.Potential BC students undergo individual interviews and skills assessments as part of the selection process.
Class-based Instruction
Classes take place in our fully-equipped facility and are structured according to SANC and DHE requirements. Assessments and assignments form part of the year mark.
Practical training/ accompaniments
Practical accompaniments take place at a variety of facilities in the Cape Town area. Students are assigned to various facilities throughout their period of study.
Examinations
External examinations are administered according to SANC and DHE guidelines and timetables, comprising both theory and practical examinations, with results being externally moderated.
