IMPORTANT NOTE

There are three requirements that should be met first, before the card may be accessed and viewed, viz,

  • • Invoice balance must be R0 – all due amounts have been settled;
  • • The renewal status is Active – status must not be Erased, Pending, etc; and
  • • The renewal process has been completed – all profile details have been provided/completed.

If any of the above conditions has not been met, the electronic card does not generate. The practitioner gets the following message:

HPCSA has communicated with various stakeholders to assure them of the authenticity of the electronically generated card. All the three forma explained above are acceptable confirmation of current registration.

It is important to note that HPCSA will still print a practicing card in the old format for those practitioners and other users who prefer the old practicing card.
