In line with our social & economical development policy, CSA is proud to offer financial assistance to students in the technical fields. Currently, CSA is assisting students at the University of Namibia, Polytechnic, University of Stellenbosch and at Cape Peninsula University.
1.POLICY
1.1Financial support will be given to full-time candidates who wish to study in the fields of Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical engineering at any recognised university in the SADC region.
1.2The allocation of these bursaries will be based on the achievement potential and needs of the student.
1.3A legal and binding contract between Consulting Services Africa and the student will be signed.
2.CONDITIONS
2.1Applicants must be Namibian citizens;
2.2Academic performance must be satisfactory (e.g. qualify for admission to study engineering at a recognised Technikon or University of Technology);
2.3A change of study course requires a reapplication for a bursary;
2.4A bursary is allocated for one study year, but is renewable annually subject to satisfactory academic progress;
2.5Bursars will be required to work for Consulting Services Africa on completion of their studies for the same number of years that the bursary was received, provided jobs are available. Failure to comply with this condition wholly or in part will require full or pro-rata repayment of the bursary and parents/guardians are to sign a surety to this extent.
2.6Bursars are required to provide at least two progress reports per academic year on their academic performance. Any problems they may encounter including those related to accommodation, should also be reported on.
2.7The company accepts no liability for any damages, breakage or any legal costs caused or made by the bursar and for any extra costs or expenses over and above the bursary amount.
2.8The company does not accept any liability for expenses of any nature incurred in courses, which have to be repeated.
2.9The company may at any time withdraw the bursary and terminate the contract should the bursars academic performance be unsatisfactory.
3.VALUE OF THE BURSARY
A bursary includes:
3.1Registration and tuition fees payable directly to the institution of learning;
3.2Board and lodging at the institution of learning (private board & lodging not to exceed institution rates);
3.3Book and stationary allowance and educational equipment. In case the bursary amount exceeds the tuition and residential fees, such amount will be paid to the student and can be used as spending money.
The bursary amount is limited to an amount of N$50 000 and the student is liable for expenses beyond this amount.
