A chartered financial analyst (CFA) is a globally-recognized professional designation given by the CFA Institute, (formerly the AIMR (Association for Investment Management and Research)), that measures and certifies competence and integrity of financial analysts.
We know that the COVID virus spreads quickly, affects different regions in different ways, and prompts governments to impose temporary restrictions. Many government lockdowns, on the other hand, include provisions allowing educational testing to continue, and computer-based test centers can be modified to meet other pandemic restrictions.
If you do not hear that your exam has been impacted, you should assume it will take place as scheduled. Based on our experience, we know it is futile to guess which restrictions will be in place more than a few weeks ahead of time. That is why we have this plan in place:
There will be an ongoing review of testing feasibility in all cities throughout the testing window. If your exam is impacted, you will receive notification via email from CFA Institute and/or Prometric.
No action is required at this time. It is not necessary to contact us to confirm your appointment. Please understand that the CFA Institute Customer Care department does not have scheduling information and will be unable to resolve scheduling questions.
China has specific policies in place based on local guidelines.
