Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies.In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a US citizen, national, or legal permanent resident, Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau.
- Must be enrolling as an undergraduate student in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall of 2020.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED.
- Must apply for federal financial aid for the academic year using the Free Application for the Federal Student Aid (FASFA) by early April.
- Must be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census.
- Must be of Asian heritage.
Description: APIA Scholars provides scholarships to underserved APIA students with a special focus on those who live at or below the poverty level, or are otherwise of low socioeconomic status; have placed a strong emphasis on community service and leadership as well as solid academic achievement.

Additional Information: APIA Scholars, formerly APIASF, is the nation’s largest non-profit provider of college scholarships to Asian and Pacific Islander Americans (APIA). Their mission is to make a difference in the lives of APIA students by providing them with resources that increase their access to higher education. Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards.
Award Amount: The grant value is up to $20,000. The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $100,000.
Deadline Information: Deadline for this scholarship is Thursday, January 14, Application opens Sept. 4 and closes January 4. Submit by the deadline.
