- Must resides or attends school in one of the 9 San Francisco Bay Area counties.
- Must be a female.
- Must be of Filipino descent.
- Must be a high school student at the time of application.
Description: Pinay Aspirations is a non-profit organization created to promote the aspirations of Filipino youth in education, the community, personal growth and career development. The Pinay Aspire Scholarship is available for young women high school student of Filipino descent who resides or attends school in one of the 9 San Francisco Bay Area counties.
Application requirements for the Pinay Aspire Scholarship are:
- Essay
- Interview
- Recommendation letter
- Application form
- Personal statement
- Official Transcript
- List of activities and work experience.
Additional Information: Pinay Aspirations works to advance the aspirations of Filipino youth in education, the community, personal growth and career development. through scholarships, mentorship programs, community service and other activities or resources that will enhance their personal development and advancement in life. The Pinay Aspire Scholarship is limited to residents of the San Francisco Bay Area only. Each scholarship winner receives $1,000 and a mentor for one year. Qualifying Pinays must attend a two-year or four-year college within the 2019-2020 academic year and demonstrate personal hardship, a strong potential for success, and a deep sense of pride and connection for Filipino heritage, culture, and identity.
Award Amount: Each scholarship winner receives $1,000 and a mentor for one year. The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
Deadline Information: Deadline for this scholarship is Saturday, April 24, Application must be submitted electronically on provider website. If selected, applicants are interviewed.
