How much is Pag Ibig contribution?

With all of the Pag-IBIG benefits available to members, you’ll most likely want to stay on top of your monthly Pag-IBIG contributions.

While it’s definitely easier to do if you’re a regular employee (as it’s done automatically by local employers), that doesn’t mean that freelancers, OFWs, entrepreneurs, and other professionals can’t pay their contributions.

Whether you’re a regular employee who wants to check if your monthly Pag-IBIG deductibles are correct, or want to voluntarily contribute to build up a savings or to get enough credit for a home loan in the future, here is the latest Pag-IBIG contribution table:

The contributions table is pretty straightforward but to give you a better idea on just how much will be deducted from your salary, here are a couple of sample computations:

Sample computation for an employee with Php 3,000 monthly basic salary:

 Employee’s share: Php 3,000 x 0.02 = Php 60

Employer’s share: Php 3,000 x 0.02 = Php 60

Total Pag-IBIG monthly contribution: P120

Sample computation for a self-employed individual with Php 10,000 monthly basic salary:

Maximum deductible amount for Pag-IBIG: P5,000

P5,000 x 0.02 = P100

Total Pag-IBIG contribution: P100

Regardless of how much your salary is, the maximum income Pag-IBIG will consider for mandatory deductions will always be P5,000. However, you may voluntarily increase the monthly contributions if you plan to loan higher amounts from Pag-IBIG later on.

HOW TO INCREASE MONTHLY CONTRIBUTIONS:

For employees: Discuss this with your company’s HR.

For self-employed individuals:  Simply increase your monthly contribution amounts when you pay.
