How will I know if my PAG IBIG calamity loan is approved?

The Pag-IBIG Fund Calamity Loan caters to affected members in areas declared under a state of calamity. It features a cheap interest rate of only 5.95% per annum and is payable in 24 monthly installments.

The loan may be used for housing or non-housing related purposes, such as: for livelihood, tuition/educational expense, health and medical allowance, and minor home repairs and improvements.

Who may apply for the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan? 

Any PAG-IBIG Fund member who meets any of the following conditions:

1. Has made at least 24 monthly savings (MS) to the fund. If a member has not met the 24 MS, he is still allowed to apply if his/her total savings is at least equivalent to the total of 24 MS based on the rate applicable to him/her.

2. Has made at least 1 MS for the past six (6) months preceding the date of application;

3. If with an existing Pag-IBIG Housing Loan, Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL) and/or Calamity Loan, all outstanding dues must be paid up to date; 

4. Must be a resident of an area declared under a state of calamity; and

5. Has adequate proof of income. 

When can I apply for the the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan?

The Pag-IBIG member can apply for the loan within ninety (90 days) or three (3) months from the declaration of a state of calamity. If already past the 90-day period, members may opt to apply for the Multi-Purpose Loan.

How much can I borrow for the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan? 

The amount of allowable loan shall be computed based on the lowest of the following:

1. Desired amount of loan

2. Loan Entitlement – This amount is equivalent to eighty percent (80%) of the Total Accumulated Value (TAV) or the total of monthly contributions. However, take note that if you recently availed of a Multi-Purpose Loan, the outstanding balance from such loan will be deducted from the 80% of the TAV to arrive at the loanable amount.

3. Capacity to Pay – The borrower’s Net Take Home Pay (NTPH) or the net salary that will be received after all deductions including the amortization for loan payment will be taken into consideration when computing for the loanable amount. The NTPH shall not fall below the minimum threshold as dictated by the company’s policy or the General Appropriation Act (GAA), whichever is appropriate.

How to get the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan?

1. Accomplish one (1) copy of the Calamity Loan Application Form (CLAF). You may obtain it from any branch of Pag-IBIG Fund services in your area. You can also download the form here.

2. Prepare the following requirements:

  • Copy of at least one (1) valid ID
  • Proof of Income 

a. If formally employed, the “Certificate of Monthly Net Income” section at the back  of the CLAF must be accomplished by the applicant’s employer. 

A duly authenticated photocopy of the applicant’s latest pay slip by the company’s authorized officer may also be submitted. 

b. For individual payors or self-employed, furnish a photocopy of business or mayor’s permit, sales vouchers, or other valid proof of income. 

  • Photocopy of payroll account/disbursement card or deposit slip (if new account) where the loan proceeds will be remitted, if applicable. Check the last section of this article for the other channels. 

3. Submit the accomplished CLAF together with the supporting documents to any Pag-IBIG Fund branch or online thru email.
