The Henley MBA is triple-accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) in the United Kingdom, the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in the USA, along with being fully accredited by the Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC) of the Council on Higher Education in South Africa.

Designed with the needs of experienced managers in mind, the two and a half year Henley MBA by Flexible Learning is a part-time programme delivered through a blend of face-to-face workshops, peer group learning team activities and on- and off-line individual and group self-study programmes.

You will share and learn from the experiences of fellow members of your MBA team hailing from a wide variety of managerial backgrounds. From day one you will learn to apply established management competencies in specific business environments to the unique facets of your own organisation, ensuring that you have every opportunity to apply your learnings to your own working environment and business context.

Restricted to managers with at least three years of management experience, the Henley MBA will enable you to develop a strategic, holistic and integrated perspective of business, organisations and management. It will allow you to integrate theory and practice through an approach that combines academic rigour with practitioner relevance.  And it will provide you with opportunities to support your personal development of management capability, giving you the ability to work in and to lead teams in a wide variety of business situations.

 

Entry requirements

To join the Henley MBA programme you will need:

  • a Honours degree or Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum of 3 years management experience (CHE requirement)
  • Competency in English
  • The ability to access company data for course assignment purposes

If you don’t have an Honours Degree or equivalent, our Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice (PG Dip) is our bridging programme into the MBA.

Complete your application online or email your completed application form  along with all of the supplementary documents, to admissions@henleysa.ac.za.

All applicants must submit:

  1. a completed application form,
  2. certified copies of degree certificates,
  3. your CV and
  4. satisfactory references (ideally one business reference and one academic reference).

Once we receive your application, the Henley Admission Panel will assess your suitability for the programme and you will be informed in writing as soon as possible of the Panel’s decision. Please be aware that incomplete applications will delay consideration.

You may be required to attend a personal interview with a member of the Henley faculty and you may have to undergo additional assessment processes.

We operate a rolling admissions system and it is recommended that you apply early to secure your place.

 

Scholarships

Every year scholarships are made available to potential students applying for the MBA and the unique MBA+ for creative activists and innovators. Applications for the Dean’s Scholarships are open until 31 January 2025/2026.
